Thoughts to Consider:
I was sitting here watching another news conference given by our President and Vice-President and other experts in the field. I couldn’t help but find myself being amazed at how much they knew and how they had outlined ways to handle this serious situation. Following the news conference, the usual media people appeared to tell us what was said and how we should respond to it, like we were unable to understand on our own!
Then the thought struck me, as I was suddenly reminded of Isaiah 55:8-9. “ ‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord. 9‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.’”
As we are shut in, and will all probably be watching more TV and other media sources than normal, we need to be very aware that the media is heavily controlled by people who may have a very different worldview than we do. Wisdom dictates that we should be very concerned about how much of this biased, non-Christian media we allow to seep inside us! And even more, how much we allow it to influence our thinking.
Remember, we are to be anxious for nothing but lift all things to God in prayer with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6-7). And God will give us a peace that goes beyond understanding. Our God is totally in control and His will shall be done (Isaiah 46:9-10)!
Blessings to you and yours.
