Children and teens are not only the church of tomorrow but also a very special part of the church today! Therefore the student ministries of SCBC are an important part of who we are and who we are going to be in the future. Bellow are the student ministries we have at Squaw Creek.

The FORCE Student Ministries

F.O.R.C.E. stands for Faithful, Obedient, Rejoicing, Courageous, Evangelists, and that is exactly how we want to live our lives.  We want to be faithful to our God and Savior and obedient to His holy word.  We want to rejoice in the blessings and provision of the Lord in our lives, and we want to be courageous evangelists as we share our faith and the good news of the gospel with the world.

The purpose of the Force Student ministries is to edify the body of Christ and to share the gospel of the love of Christ with the lost. We have a very active youth ministry. The FORCE student ministry is designed for young people grades 6-12 with weekly youth meetings on Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM. In addition to regular youth meetings, there are monthly youth activities which include: Concerts, open gym, retreats, service projects, and more. We also offer summer activities that include: mission trips, camps, and other activities.

We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. and on Sunday nights from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Sunday School:

This is our weekly Sunday morning bible study for all age groups. Our Junior high class (grades 6-8) are going through a study using the Answers in Genesis curriculum based on adapting a strong Biblical worldview. The Senior High youth Sunday school class (9th-College) are at present going through a study on the Biblical way to handle money. The teenagers enjoy spending this time discussing and learning God’s word with their peers.

For more information and all things youth related please check out our youth website , Contact Pastor Andy Saul for more information: 319-377-4307 or, and be sure to like and follow us on Facebook.

Praise Dance Team: – We practice weekly during the school year on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 in the sanctuary to learn dances to help lead worship a few times during the year.  This is for girls who are in 3rd grade and up.  During the Christmas season, we visit area care centers with a dance and sing carols with them.  Why we have a praise dance team:  Clearly, God calls His children to worship Him, and from that worship, there should be an outward expression of love for Him that comes from participation of all one’s heart, soul and mind and strength because He is worthy to be praised! From this expression of worship that God commands and still desires for His people, dance has a significant place in worship of Him. The full description of ‘heart, soul and mind and strength’ reveals a wholeness of intent for genuine worship of God, which has been lost in our present age. Jesus also commands the Church to “go into all the world and preach the good news”, as is the great commission. Christians are called to reach a generation that are not interested in religion but instead in real, honest, genuine people living their lives for something more than what the world has to offer. They long for hope in a hopeless world. Using dance and portraying the realities of our sin, the cost of the cross, and introducing the Man that saved the human race from it, allows them to hear the gospel. It speaks their language, and they want to listen, when before, most would walk away from the idea of a religious talk.
